With The Woods as your home base, there are plenty of things to see and do nearby. The Haliburton Highlands are home to a variety of artists studios, a theatre, golf courses, four wheeler trails, hiking trails and look out points. A museum, arts and cultural centre, beaches, river tubing, waterfalls, hundreds of lakes to boat or fish, and our local Farmers' Market is a must! Of course there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops to peruse in the villages.

Exploring the beautiful riverside paths along the Gull River, The Minden Wild Water Preserve is a beautiful setting to oberve the rapids. The Preserve's 100 acres include:
